I was born in Surrey and continue to have connections and colleagues in the county. I therefore receive a significant number of referrals by word of mouth from previous clients and colleagues in the area. The North Downs and Pilgrim’s Way are favourite places of mine. I also love the River Mole and the bluebell woods which Surrey is famous for.

I work with adults aged 17 and older. Sometimes considerably older, as I have assessed people in their late 70s. My online ADHD assessments in Surrey are flexible and convenient.

The ADHD Assessments I offer meet The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) Guidelines. I also follow the latest Adult ADHD Quality Assurance Standard (AQAS).

Assessments which are professional and personal to you

As an individual psychologist rather than a large organisation, I am able to offer adults an online ADHD assessment which is both personal and professional. You will be communication with me directly throughout the process with any queries or concerns which you have.

What does the Assessment involve?

The assessment will include an in depth conversation with you as the individual being assessed and an interview with someone who knows you well. This is ideally someone who knew you well as a child although this is not always possible. If you don’t have someone who knew you as a child, then it can be someone who knows you well as an adult and has known you for several years.

I will ask you to complete online questionnaires and I will review all the available reports which you have, including school reports. I have had first-hand experience of how an accurate ADHD Diagnosis enables people to access appropriate treatment and support. This can transform their work, education and family life from frustration and stress to success and enjoyment.

An ADHD Assessment with me involves about 3-4 hours of online clinical contact time. This will include an appointment in which we review the diagnosis or outcome of the assessment. If you receive an ADHD diagnosis, I will make personal recommendations for what treatment and support I consider will be appropriate and helpful for you, which might include medication, psychological therapy and coaching for ADHD . if the outcome is that you do not have ADHD, I will explore with you what next steps, treatment, support or further assessment would be helpful for you and in addition to the report, I will give you a document with personal recommendations about next steps. It is my aim that at the end of an ADHD Assessment with me, whatever the outcome, a person leaves with a clear plan of what treatment and support they need and how to access it either via specific professionals I will recommend or via appropriate specialist organisations.

My Qualifications and Experience

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) states that the diagnosis of ADHD should only be conducted by an appropriately qualified healthcare professional, such as a psychologist, specialist pharmacist, specialist mental health nurse or psychiatrist, with training and expertise in the diagnosis of ADHD.

I am an HCPC Practitioner Psychologist, with a first-class degree in psychology from the University of Leeds. I have more than 25 years post-qualification experience as a Chartered Psychologist.

I have received specialist training in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of Adult ADHD from UKAAN (The UK Adult ADHD Network). I have attended multiple additional training and CPD events on ADHD Assessment and ADHD Diagnosis including on ADHD and Higher Education.

Surrey covers a very broad range of locations, from those which are very urban and metropolitan to those which are very rural. There are areas which are very affluent and others which are very run down and deprived. The range of landscapes and habits in Surrey is also considerable. Similarly, I have seen clients in Surrey from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures with very different life experiences and challenges. I value the ongoing connections I have with the county, both personally and professionally.
