Whether you’re aged 17 or 70 and over, my online ADHD assessments in Cambridge are flexible and convenient.

You can be assured they are of the highest standard and meet The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) Guidelines. I also follow the latest Adult ADHD Quality Assurance Standard (AQAS).

Personalised and Professional Assessments

As an individual psychologist, I am able to offer adults an ADHD assessment which is both personal and professional, with excellent support through all stages of the process.
An assessment will include an extended interview with the individual being assessed and an interview with someone who knows them well (ideally someone who knew them well as a child although this is not always possible).

Online questionnaires will be completed and all available reports (including school reports) reviewed.
How Long Does the Process Take?

The assessment includes about four hours of clinical contact time. This will include a follow up session in which we review the diagnosis or outcome of the assessment.

Personal recommendations will be given for treatment, including medication, psychological therapy and coaching for ADHD if appropriate.

If you are not given an ADHD diagnosis then I will explore with you what next steps, treatment, support or further assessment would be helpful for you
My Work Includes Assessments For Students

Cambridge is world-famous as a centre of learning, with approximately 20% of its population being students.

ADHD has a significantly negative impact on learning and academic achievement if it remains undiagnosed. Typically, students with ADHD struggle to concentrate in lectures and when reading; they find it hard to plan and organise their work; and they have difficulty motivating themselves to begin and to complete tasks.

Many students with ADHD are only able to engage with their studies and assignments when up against a deadline. This means that they typically complete assignments in a very short space of time, which is a very stressful way to work. Although they may be highly intelligent, without the correct diagnosis, support and treatment, it generally means they do not fulfil their academic potential.

I have worked with students in Cambridge seeking an online ADHD assessment and with those studying in sixth form and students taking undergraduate and Masters degrees and PhDs. I have also offered assessments to many academics who are involved in teaching and research at a range of different stages of their careers and at different levels of seniority.

I have had first-hand experience of how an accurate ADHD Diagnosis enables people to access appropriate treatment which can transform their work and their experience as a student or academic from frustration and stress to success and enjoyment.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) states that the diagnosis of ADHD should only be conducted by an appropriately qualified healthcare professional, such as a psychologist, specialist pharmacist, specialist mental health nurse or psychiatrist, with training and expertise in the diagnosis of ADHD.

I am an HCPC Practitioner Psychologist, with a first-class degree in psychology from the University of Leeds. I have more than 20 years post-qualification experience as a Chartered Psychologist.

I have received specialist training in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of Adult ADHD from UKAAN (The UK Adult ADHD Network). I have attended multiple additional training and CPD events on ADHD Assessment and ADHD Diagnosis including on ADHD and Higher Education.

I’ve enjoyed strong connections with Cambridge since being a child and have always enjoyed working in the city. I studied English at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge (a long time ago!) and I find it a beautiful and engaging part of the world which is full of a wide variety of interesting people. Part of my heart will always be in Cambridge.
